Evening Manta Ray Circle

3 hour tour  Departure time varies by season  Check in 30 minutes prior to departure  Check in on the North Side of the Kailua Kona Pier

Tour includes, wetsuits, dive lights, snorkel equipment, glow sticks and hot beverages  30ft Zodiac boat with interior cushioned seating and a shade awning

Once you have been fitted for your wetsuit and snorkel gear we depart the Kailua Kona pier. We head off into the sunset to catch the last few moments of the breath taking Hawaiian sunset. We head north to Garden Eel Cove where over 27 Manta Rays frequent. The Manta Rays are an amazing species with a wing span up to 16ft in length. Mantas don’t have stingers and are harmless to people. They feed primarily on plankton that is attracted to light. Splashers has a custom built board providing large floating water spotlights. One of our very knowledgeable guides will remain in the water at all times with the snorkelers. Then watch the majestic creatures as they roll and glide right under you. This is an experience of a lifetime!  Almost indescribable- and will be the highlight of your trip.

Interesting fact- There are only 3 spots to swim with Mantas on the entire planet earth & 2 of them are here on the Big Island.

We specialize in beginner snorkelers & provide on board instruction

We recommend you wear a bathing suit and bring 1-2 towels per person and a light weight jacket or sweatshirt. The night time air gets chilly on the return trip.

Finally, we return to the Kailua Kona pier return time also varies with the season (sunset), usually between 8-9pm

We recommend an underwater camera for this “bucket list” trip.
